The RVC’s Open Day at the Hawkshead Campus, Hertfordshire, typically in May/June, is an all-encompassing, immersive and informative event for prospective students, parents/guardians and advisors.

This annual event is one of the largest and most popular on-campus visiting opportunity in our calendar. The day will offer in-depth pathway presentations and the opportunity to speak with lead academics and passionate Student Ambassadors from our three undergraduate pathways: Biological Sciences, Veterinary Medicine & Veterinary Nursing. To ensure that all areas of our University are represented on the day; professionals from Accommodation, Admissions, Learning & Wellbeing and the Students’ Union will be on-hand to share their insight through informal conversations.

There are a multitude of activities simultaneously running throughout the day, such as campus tours, behind the scenes access to hospital facilities, the chance to undertake hands-on clinical skills, rare access to Boltons Park Farm and student accommodation viewings. This access-all-areas Open Day offers the opportunity for you to envision what being an RVC student is like to help you decide whether our institution is your best fit.
