Latin A-Level

Studying A-Level Latin allows you not only to build on your Latin linguistic skills but also develops your understanding

of life and culture of the ancient world through the study of prose and verse literature. 

Students will develop their vocabulary and linguistic structures, which will be examined by translations and comprehension. Students will also study two prose set texts, and two verse set texts along with additional relavant literature for context. 

 

Format

Independent reading and essay-based subject. 

 

Prerequisites

GCSE Latin or equivalent.
