Northwood Gymnastics is a Gymnastics club in Northwood, Middx. We deliver sessions at two venues in Northwood for children aged 3 and a half to 16 years old. One venue is for Recreational level Gymnasts and the other delivers sessions for Invite - Advance level Gymnasts.
We focus on 3 main areas of General Gymnastics - Floor, Vault and Tumble. We have a strong team of Gymnastic Coaches and Admin Staff who work at both venues.This team also delivers Gymnastics to primary and secondary schools. Sessions mainly run term time, but we do also offer a Gymnastics Holiday Club during the school holidays for children aged 3 and a half to 16 years old.
We also run local competitions at our club and at other local clubs. We offer a growing Academy Coaching Scheme to young members who work closely with the coaches to develop their gymnastics coaching. www.northwoodgymnastics.co.uk
About the role
The Role:
We have a unique opportunity to support a passionate and determined young person who is driven and passionate about developing gymnasts and supporting children to keep active and healthy in our local area, alongside completing a degree apprenticeship.
Our Sports Development Degree Apprentice will play a pivotal role shadowing and developing our gymnastic club at Northwood School. The role will involve delivering good quality Gymnastic sessions at our club and you will also develop an understanding of how the club runs by working alongside our Admin and
Management Team both at the club and offsite. The apprentice will, as well as relationship building, will be involved in project management, and business planning with colleagues.

Working within a fast-paced and busy Gymnastics Club, the post holder will need to think on their feet, effectively prioritise their workload, and attack challenges head on. Applicants should have a strong work-ethic and can-do attitude.
The Apprenticeship:
The University of Hertfordshire’s Sports Business Management Degree Apprenticeship is a work-based programme leading to a BSc (Hons) Sports Business Management (Work-Based) qualification, along with CMI Chartered Manager status, that combines practical employment in the sports industry with
academic study. Aligned with the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) standard, the apprenticeship develops key skills in leadership, strategic thinking, finance, and operational management while enabling apprentices to apply their learning directly in a professional setting. You will undertake University study one day per week.
