Degree Decisions is a UK-based careers and education guidance platform for students aged 14 and over. Our website is www.degreedecisions.com. We are the data controller for the personal data we collect through this site.

What data we collect and why
We collect personal data in the following ways:
Newsletter sign-up If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your name and email address. We use this to send you updates, resources, and career guidance content. We use Wix Email Marketing to manage our mailing list. Your data is stored securely within the Wix platform.
Contact forms If you contact us via a form on the site, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
Career quiz If you use our career personality quiz, your responses are used to generate your results. We do not store individual quiz responses linked to your personal identity unless you have also signed up to our mailing list.
Student survey If you participate in our student survey, we ask for your name, email address, university or graduation details, and student ID or proof of enrolment. This information is used solely to verify your student or graduate status and is deleted immediately once verification is complete. It is not retained, shared, or linked to your survey responses.
As proof of enrolment may constitute sensitive personal data, we handle it with additional care and it is accessible only to authorised members of the Degree Decisions team during the verification process.
Survey responses themselves are collected anonymously for research and platform development purposes.
Cookies and analytics Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use the site. This includes analytics tools provided by Wix. This data is collected in aggregate and is used to improve the website. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Children and young people
Our platform is designed for students aged 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
