Economics A-Level

Economics is the study of how individuals, businesses and governments make decisions in relation to resources

with the objective of understanding and improving society. The Economics A Level concentrates on two elements: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.  

Microeconomics takes a focus on individual decisions, markets and firms. Within this area, students will look at demand and supply, pricing, efficiencies, growth and government intervention in markets. The Macroeconomics element of the course examines the economy as a whole, looking at inflation, unemployment and economic growth. Here, students will also explore government policies, international trade, exchange rates, protectionism, economic development and globalisation,
