
Drama and Theatre/Drama A-Level
Students who love acting/designing and theatre may well be drawn towards the Drama and Theatre A-Level
(or A-Level Drama with some examining Boards).
There is a high practical element to this course and students can choose to perform for theatre or design for theatre. Through the study of theory and methodologies, students will learn how to analyse performances. Students will also deconstruct set texts for performance and interpret and explore practically a performance as well as having the opportunity to create original drama. Students choosing the Design route might specialise in lighting, sound, set, costume, puppets and/or directing.
Format
Independent reading; experiencing theatre as the audience and through acting/design/directing.
Prerequisites
A good level of English is typically required.
