Physical Education A Level

Studying Physical Education will allow you to deepen your understanding of sports and physical activity, its impact on health, the body and wellbeing, as well as how to improve performance. You will learn about the many factors that affect performance, looks at the role technology has to play and improve your analysis and evaluative skills to improve performance.


For the physical side of the course, you will improve your knowledge of applied anatomy, biomechanics and physiology and physical training. You will also look at socio-cultural influence, sports psychology and overall health benefits of sport. You will also look at contemporary issues in sport and its role in society.


Applying this course into practice, you will also do a practical performance, either as a performer or coach.
