  • What is a Professional Policing degree?

    Professional Policing is a specialist undergraduate degree designed to prepare students for entry into the police service in England and Wales.


    The degree is aligned with the College of Policing’s National Policing Curriculum and provides the academic component required for the Police Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF).


    You’ll study policing law, ethics, investigation, community engagement, safeguarding, and evidence-based practice, while developing the professional behaviours expected of police officers.

    Although completing the degree does not guarantee employment, it is a recognised route into policing and related criminal justice careers.
